Evaluation
MonteCrypto: The Bitcoin Enigma launched on February 20, 2018 as a competitive puzzle game with a real Bitcoin prize for the first player to solve all 24 enigmas. On April 24, 2018, the developers announced that a team of 8 players had cracked the enigma and claimed the Bitcoin prize. At that point, the game's central contest concluded. The in-game messaging system was frozen — no new messages can be added — and the store description now explicitly describes the game as "a museum, an inactive display of the quest that took place." The April 2018 post did include a vague closing line ("it may not be totally over..."), but no follow-up content was ever announced or released, and the store description directly contradicts any expectation of further activity. The game is fully complete and functions purely as a preserved artifact of the original competition.
Evidence
Developer announced the Bitcoin prize was claimed by a team of 8 players. The in-game messaging feature was frozen. The central contest is over.

About this game
In Montecrypto: The Bitcoin Enigma players enter a maze filled with 24 mind-bending puzzles. Either work alone or together, leaving hints along the way to help solve the mind-bending puzzles - or slow others down by leading them to dead-ends.
Montecrypto: The Bitcoin Enigma was an experiment in player choice and cooperation like no other, with a prize that translated not only to bragging rights but to real world recognition. How much would players be willing to share, how much would they be able to compromise and who would claim access to the final vault of Montecrypto?
Montecrypto's enigmas have been solved, and now the game is a museum, an inactive display of the quest that took place.
Since a few of you have asked, Montecrypto: The Bitcoin Enigma has nothing whatsoever to do with Bitcoin mining, and will not use your PC to mine Bitcoin or altcoin while you play the game.
Montecrypto: The Bitcoin Enigma does not sell, give, reward or use any digital items or digital currency.
