Moon Fall (月球坠落时) was released on January 16, 2021, with a FanDisc called "Star Wizard" launching the same day. The adult-content version ("Butterflylover") followed on November 20, 2021, along with a version 1.05 patch. Bug fix patches continued into early 2021.
The game's Steam news page has since been used primarily as a communication channel for Horo Games' next project, LetsGal (恋爱游戏进行时). In an October 2022 post and a detailed April 2, 2023 development update, Horo Games announced that LetsGal — a separate game set in a parallel universe — was targeting release in late 2023. Within that announcement, several characters (Anna, Aya, Yui, and Ichiha) were described as non-launch heroines whose individual story routes would be delivered as DLC after LetsGal's release. One character (Aya) was also noted to contain story content expanding on Moon Fall's universe.
These DLC commitments are tied to LetsGal, not Moon Fall directly. However, because Moon Fall's own store page was used to communicate these plans and Horo Games explicitly connected the two games' universes, there is a material content interest for Moon Fall players. As of today (June 26, 2026), there has been no developer communication on this Steam page since April 2, 2023 — over three years of silence — and no confirmation that LetsGal has launched or that the promised DLC content has shipped. The originally targeted late 2023 release window for LetsGal has long passed without an update.

About this game
This work takes the "butterfly" in the classical Chinese work "Zhuangzi Qiwulun" as the game idea, and takes love and nurture as the main game form of AVG text adventure game.
This book tells the story of how young men and women of "lost generation" face the future, depicting "the last love of the world" and "the last travel of the end" in the waste land of the end.
In order to show as beautiful and RETRO art as possible, high-quality traditional 2D hand-painted paintings were used throughout the process to depict the world before the moon landed.
