Together BnB has been in Early Access since April 9, 2021 and remains so — the Early Access flag is still active on the store. The game has a clear history of continued development. Two major content milestones are visible in the news history: a large update in February 2022 (adding Nana's storyline, a new character, new systems) and another substantial update in July 2025 (completing Emily's full main story, adding new interactions for Nana, Vera, Isabel, and new character Flora, and expanding the interaction system). The first paid DLC — Emily: Sapphire Quarry Photo Collection — launched on November 26, 2025, adding a new area, story event, photo modes, and exclusive outfits. The most recent developer communication is a progress update from February 13, 2026. In it, the team confirmed that Vera's main storyline is currently in development, that the daily interaction system is being rethought and redesigned, and that visual and performance optimisation work is ongoing. The post closes with a direct statement: "We're not stepping away from this project. We'll continue updating and improving it, one step at a time." The July 2025 update also explicitly flagged "DLC branching stories and new character side quests" as content in development planned for future release — this commitment has not been followed by any post announcing its completion. An earlier period of distress reported in December 2021 — lost motion capture partnership and financial difficulties — was resolved within weeks when the team found a new partner, and development continued without interruption. As of October 8, 2026, the last developer communication was February 13, 2026 — approximately eight months ago. The team's historical posting cadence between major updates has ranged from several months to over a year, so this gap alone does not indicate abandonment, particularly given the explicit February 2026 commitment to continue. However, the silence since February 2026 is worth monitoring: if no update arrives by early 2027, the gap will become more concerning relative to even the loosest historical cadence.
