Metro Sim Hustle

Metro Sim Hustle launched out of Early Access on July 24, 2021, after over four years of development including 26 months in Early Access. Following its 1.0 release, the developer shipped several major content updates: Update 1.3.0 (August 16, 2021) added a retail management feature, Update 1.4.0 (September 17, 2021) added a new metro line and NPCs with sidequests, and Update 1.5.0 (November 12, 2021) added traffic, pedestrians, a redesigned city, and casino games. After a gap of over three years, the developer returned with the significant Update 2.0 on December 20, 2024, which overhauled the entire user interface, graphics, localization, and gameplay systems. The 2.0 patch notes listed "Full gamepad support" and "Additional fixes and enhancements" as coming soon items, and those were delivered via Update 2.1 on February 8, 2025. The Update 2.1 post is the last developer communication on record (February 8, 2025). Notably, the update's closing message promotes other Departure Interactive games rather than teasing further Metro Sim Hustle content — a pattern distinct from earlier update posts which explicitly stated "there's more to come." The Update 2.0 notes listed specific near-term items that were fully delivered in 2.1, and no outstanding commitments or announced future content remain. The only DLC on record — the Adult Only Content pack — was released on July 3, 2021 and is fully shipped. The store description contains no language suggesting ongoing content delivery, seasons, or a roadmap. Given that all previously announced near-term content from Update 2.0 was delivered in Update 2.1, no new content has been teased or announced since, and the developer's messaging shifted toward promoting other titles, the game appears to have reached a content-complete state as of February 8, 2025.
