Moonstone Island launched on September 20, 2023 and has received a steady stream of substantial free content updates from Studio Supersoft ever since. The developer has shipped six major updates post-launch: 1. The Arcane Artifacts DLC and accompanying free content (May 2024) 2. The Cooking Update (July 31, 2024), adding an entirely new cooking mechanic with 80+ recipes 3. The Festival Update (September 30, 2024), adding new Spirits, seasonal festivals, and community features 4. The Evolutions Update (June 16, 2025), introducing Spirit evolution, 28 new evolved Spirits, Deep Mines, and a new boss battle 5. The Character Customization Update (September 18, 2025), adding full character appearance customization — a feature over 12 months in development Following the Character Customization launch, the developer posted a bug fix and feature patch on October 6, 2025, adding new hairstyles and addressing reported issues. This is the most recent communication as of today (June 23, 2026). All eight cosmetic DLC packs have been released, ranging from launch day through September 2024. No unreleased DLC is listed on the store. The developer has not announced any specific upcoming content or named future updates, but the game has maintained a consistent pattern of major free updates roughly every 3-6 months since launch. The last major update shipped on September 18, 2025, meaning approximately 9 months have passed since then as of today. Following your village's tradition, you must move to an island in the sky to complete your Alchemy training.
