Moving Out launched on April 28, 2020 and received post-launch content support. A feature update (Update 1.2) shipped on July 17, 2020, adding a new character, platinum medals, and new dances. The game's one paid DLC expansion, Movers in Paradise, was announced on February 8, 2021 and released on February 25, 2021, alongside a free "Moving In" update. All three DLC items listed on the store — the Employees of the Month Pack, the Movers in Paradise expansion, and the Original Soundtrack — have been released. Since the Movers in Paradise launch in February 2021, developer communications have shifted to promoting Moving Out 2, a full sequel announced in August 2022 and launched on August 15, 2023. The studio's attention has clearly moved on to the sequel. There are no unreleased DLC items, no announced future content for the original game, and no developer posts suggesting further updates are planned. The original Moving Out appears to have concluded its content life cycle with the Movers in Paradise DLC in February 2021.
