Mushroom Musume launched on June 20, 2025 and has received consistent bug fix and maintenance patches since release. On August 22, 2025, the developer published a roadmap outlining three planned post-launch content updates: a "creepy" content update originally targeted for October 2025, a "lovely" update planned for February 2026, and a final update focused on Steam Workshop integration to allow player modding. The October update was delayed and rebranded as the "Dead of Winter" update, with the December 1, 2025 post indicating it was nearly ready for beta testing. The most recent post, from March 12, 2026, covers only bug fixes and does not mention the status of any of the planned content updates. As of today (June 21, 2026), none of the three planned content updates have been confirmed as shipped, and the developer has not posted since March 12, 2026 — a silence of over three months following a period when updates were promised to arrive in quick succession. The announced content has not been delivered on schedule and there has been no communication explaining the delay or confirming continued progress.

Help guide the Recluse through the maze of fungal parenthood, then discover how many types of person (mushroom?) your Daughter can become!
When one Daughter falls, start over and discover new corners of the world... and a treasure trove of secrets and unlockables!
Raising a child is hard, raising a mushroom is no easier. Any little thing you do can change your Daughter's path in life - will she grow into a pretty little Fly Agaric or an uncanny and indomitable Cordyceps? A parent's role is key, so take it seriously... or perhaps you'd rather relax. There's always next time, after all!
The world of Mushroom Musume is fun and unusual, full of whimsical moments and unexpected dark corners.
