Evaluation

Mushroom Simulator Co-op launched on May 15, 2026 and has been in active, rapid development since day one. The developer published a public roadmap on May 24, 2026 outlining four major updates (1.1 through 1.4). Update 1.1 — "Mushrooms Evolve" — shipped on June 24, 2026, delivering new mechanics including dodging, a Little Friend companion, and Grandpa Geo's Kick, exactly as promised in the roadmap. The June 24, 2026 patch notes closed with "See you in August!", signaling that another update is on the way. Updates 1.2, 1.3, and 1.4 from the roadmap remain undelivered — these include a Mushroom Gallery, an improved Lobby, Lightning hazards, Ants, Worm Artillery, a new Location, and a still-mysterious Update 1.4. The developer has been consistently communicative and has delivered on their first roadmap commitment on schedule, giving strong confidence that the remaining planned content is actively in development.
Evidence
Major Update 1.1.0 shipped with new mechanics (dodge, Little Friend companion, Grandpa's Kick), new mushroom seeds, textures, and achievements. Patch notes close with 'See you in August!', indicating another update is coming.

About this game

It's a world where you're a mushroom and so are your friends

SPEAK AND GROW

Voice waves magically feed your mycelium, speeding up your growth. Got a hedgehog eyeing your cap? Yell at it, and it'll realize it messed with the wrong mushroom - but be careful: noise can draw unwelcome guests, so sometimes it's best to shut up...

STAY QUIET AND SURVIVE

When a forager with a basket walks into your clearing, your only chance is to pretend you're not there. One sneeze and all that's left of you is spores.

PICKED? EATEN?

No big deal - scatter your spores and start fresh. Mushrooms never give up!

PLAY WITH FRIENDS

Get random mushroom skins, find your spot in a cozy clearing, and survive together with friends. Along the way you'll meet strange creatures and learn to accept yourself for who you are.

No quests, no bosses. Just you, the forest, and everyone who lives in it.
