Evaluation
Mutilate-a-Doll 2 launched on March 1, 2019 and received seven major content updates over the following years: the Cryolab Update (December 29, 2020), the Bloody Mess Update (June 24, 2021), Things That Do Things (December 22, 2021), Guns Guns Guns (June 24, 2022), Guns Guns Guns - Part Two (August 20, 2022), The Naughty List (December 24, 2022), and Guns Guns Guns - Part 3 (June 29, 2023). The intervals between these major updates ranged roughly from 2 to 6 months at their most frequent, and no longer than about 12 months between the larger gaps. The last major content release was on June 29, 2023, and the last developer communication of any kind in the provided data is the Spring Cleaning feature patch on March 16, 2023 — with the June 29, 2023 major update being the final post overall. As of today, October 8, 2026, more than 39 months have passed since that last post with no developer communication of any kind. This silence far exceeds even the most generous reading of the historical update cadence, which at its widest gap was approximately 6 months. The developer has not announced future content, posted a roadmap, listed any unreleased DLC, or communicated in any form since June 29, 2023. There is no explicit "development is complete" statement, but the sustained silence — now well over three years beyond the historical cadence — is strong evidence that the update cycle has ended. The game is assessed as complete, with June 29, 2023 (the date of the final shipped update) as the completion date.
Evidence
Guns Guns Guns - Part 3 shipped, adding ~50 new items. This is the last developer communication on record.
Spring Cleaning feature patch added new items and fixes. Second-to-last developer post on record.

About this game
MaD2 is a highly customizable virtual stressball and physics sandbox about mutilating ragdolls in various ways using an overwhelming amount of weapons and tools.
Mutilate
- Use hundreds of weapons to mutilate disposable ragdolls designed for weapons testing.
(Don't worry, they can't feel anything.)
Destroy
- Swing sharp melee weapons, shoot firearms, or detonate explosives to dynamically destroy items, and of course dolls.
- Unleash powers to burn, crush, transmute, gust, or even turn the doll into a pile of cookies.
Build
- Design and build using a selection of over 2000 items.
- All items can be customized by scaling, rotating, colouring, or modifying their settings.
- Link buttons and other triggers to items with functionality to build traps and contraptions.

Message from the Developer
Hello, I wanted to give everyone a fair heads up on some of the technical details for the game for transparency. The game itself is pretty great in my biased opinion, and has provided some dedicated players hundreds of hours of gameplay, but there are some technical things I for one would want to know when buying a game: - Design and build using a selection of over 2000 items.
- MaD2 is an established web game being released here packaged with Adobe AIR due to web Flash end-of-life.
- The resolution is a bit weird 1066x600 (16:9) due to being developed on the web. It can be upscaled and fullscreened at the cost of performance.
- The game is locked to 60fps. It should be reachable with a decent system in a reasonable ragdoll-mutilating scenario, but since it is a sandbox game it is very possible to tank the fps by doing crazy sandbox stuff.
- More detailed info about the technical stuff can be found in the FAQ.
