My Friend Pedro launched on June 20, 2019 and received a feature patch in October 2019 (the "Code Yellow Update") adding game modifiers, timer options, and HUD settings. After that, developer activity on this title wound down entirely — the only DLC ever released was the soundtrack, which shipped alongside the game on launch day.
The developer, Victor at DeadToast Entertainment, has since moved on to a new project: Shotgun Cop Man, which launched on May 1, 2025. A February 2025 post explicitly describes Victor reflecting on My Friend Pedro as a completed chapter and the past two-and-a-half years being devoted to developing Shotgun Cop Man. On the six-year anniversary of My Friend Pedro (June 20, 2025), Victor celebrated with an 80% discount sale and released a free My Friend Pedro-themed DLC — but notably, this DLC was for Shotgun Cop Man, not My Friend Pedro itself. The anniversary post is warm and nostalgic in tone, reinforcing that My Friend Pedro is a finished game being fondly remembered, not one receiving new content.
There are no announced expansions, unreleased DLC, or roadmap commitments for My Friend Pedro. The game launched as a complete experience and received only minor post-launch patches before the developer shifted focus to their next title.
