My New Memories

My New Memories is a story-driven adult visual novel in Early Access. It launched in June 2021 and has shipped three major chapters: Chapter 1 (November 24, 2021), Chapter 2 (August 26, 2022), and Chapter 3 (May 17, 2023). The developer has consistently communicated that Chapter 4 is coming and the game is unfinished. In September 2023, German police raided the developer's apartment as part of a crypto-fraud investigation (the developer maintains they were falsely accused), confiscating all hardware including the drives containing every rendering asset for the game. This halted development for an extended period. After waiting nearly two and a half years with no return of the equipment, the developer announced on January 5, 2026 that they would remake all main characters from scratch using entirely new assets so that work on Chapter 4 could resume. The most recent post, published on August 28, 2026, is the most significant update in years. The developer confirmed that the character remakes are complete and that they are currently deep into producing the renders for Chapter 4. They stated explicitly that the first beta for Chapter 4 will release in September 2026 and that the full chapter will "100% release this year." New character model previews were shared. The developer also reiterated that all renders will eventually be remade with the original character models once the seized assets are returned, but that the story will continue in the meantime with temporary models. A small playable preview of early Chapter 4 content had already been made available via a Steam beta branch on March 13, 2025, giving players a taste of the direction the story is heading. Despite the concrete and encouraging August 28, 2026 update, the game has a history of missed target windows due to the extraordinary circumstances surrounding the asset seizure, and Chapter 4 has not yet shipped as of September 18, 2026. The developer's situation remains genuinely uncertain — the original assets are still in police custody with no resolution in sight — but active work on Chapter 4 is clearly underway and the developer appears more committed and further along than at any point since mid-2023.
