Nautical Survival launched into Early Access on April 9, 2025 and received six major content updates throughout its Early Access period (Content Packs #1–6, the last of which shipped on December 4, 2025). On April 9, 2026 — exactly one year after Early Access began — the developer released version 1.0, explicitly marking it as the finished game. The 1.0 launch post stated: "While 1.0 marks the finished game, I'll still be around for critical support." The pre-1.0 announcement on March 9, 2026 similarly described 1.0 as "the complete, polished experience" and "the game's official full launch," confirming no further content additions were planned beyond critical bug fixes. On May 18, 2026, the developer posted a direct follow-up confirming he has moved on to a new project — a spiritual successor called "Kill The Sea" under a newly founded studio, Krakenberry Games. This post makes clear that development focus has fully shifted away from Nautical Survival. No DLC, expansions, or future updates for Nautical Survival have been announced.
