Necroking launched on September 4, 2024, and received a steady stream of post-launch updates through the end of 2024: controller support (September 26, 2024), a new Strategy game mode (October 15, 2024), a Halloween-themed biome and boss (October 28, 2024), and enhanced unit variants with new speed options (November 7, 2024). On April 17, 2025, the game launched on Nintendo Switch. The most recent developer communication was on June 2, 2025, promoting a sale event and new Steam Point Shop cosmetic items. Since June 2, 2025 — now more than 15 months ago as of September 24, 2026 — the developer has posted nothing new about Necroking. The historical gap between major content releases was roughly every 1–2 months during the active post-launch period (September–November 2024), with the Switch launch in April 2025 as the last major event. A silence of over 15 months far exceeds that established pattern, and there are no outstanding announced commitments — no roadmap, no unreleased DLC, no promised future content. The only DLC listed is the soundtrack, which shipped at launch. The June 2, 2025 post was a promotional sale post with cosmetic Point Shop items — not a content update — and it contained no indication of future content plans.
