Necrosmith launched on July 13, 2022 and received post-launch content updates, with the last being the 1.3 patch on September 23, 2022, which added new body parts, recipes, relics, and achievements. Since then, Alawar's news posts on this game's Steam page have been exclusively about other titles in the publisher's portfolio — Necrosmith 2, Necroking, Karate Survivor, Wall World 2, and others — with no updates, patches, or announcements specific to the original Necrosmith. The only DLC listed is the soundtrack, which was released shortly after launch. Alawar subsequently released a full sequel (Necrosmith 2) in March 2024, which strongly signals that development focus has moved on from the original. The game launched as a complete product and received a few content patches in its first months; no further updates have been made since September 2022 and no future content has been announced.
