Necrosmith 2 launched on March 27, 2024. In the weeks immediately following launch, Alawar released several patches addressing AI behavior, balance, and a new "Chaos" game mode (updates 1.0.4 through 1.0.7, spanning April 1–16, 2024). The last of these — update 1.0.7 on April 16, 2024 — is the most recent developer communication specifically about Necrosmith 2. Since then, Alawar's news posts on the game's Steam page have shifted entirely to promoting other titles: a Wall World 2 announcement (March 2025), Wall World 2's launch (November 2025), and The Last Gas Station launch (April 2026). None of these reference any further content planned for Necrosmith 2. The only DLC listed is the soundtrack, which released alongside the game on March 27, 2024. There are no unreleased DLC entries, no announced roadmap, and no developer statement indicating additional content is planned. The post-launch update activity was consistent with a typical launch-window polish cycle rather than an ongoing content cadence, and Alawar has since moved on to other projects.
