NeuraGun has been in Early Access since January 21, 2022. The previous assessment flagged the game as uncertain due to sparse updates and the studio's attention appearing to be on other projects. That picture has changed significantly. On August 10, 2026, the developer posted a detailed announcement confirming that a major update is actively in development. The upcoming update includes a brand-new final level, reworked puzzle areas, improved physics and telekinesis systems, a rebuilt UI, 15-language localization support, new Steam achievements, and performance improvements. The developer has not announced the exact release date yet, but the post makes clear the work is underway. This is a direct, substantive developer communication about NeuraGun's future — the clearest signal of active development the game has received. The February 19, 2026 patch also made real changes to the game, including model replacements and a reworked location. The studio (Whale Rock Games) does appear to be developing multiple projects in parallel, but the August 2026 announcement confirms NeuraGun is still receiving meaningful attention. The game remains in Early Access with concrete content on the way.
