Evaluation

Neversong launched on May 20, 2020, after nearly a decade of development. The developer explicitly stated in a January 2020 update that "the game is complete" ahead of its release launch. Both DLC items — a soundtrack and a bonus content pack (Coma HD) — shipped on or immediately after launch day (May 20–21, 2020), and neither was listed as a future commitment. A small post-game area called the "Shill Dungeon" was added on May 18, 2021, representing the last known content update. Since then, there have been no developer posts, no announced future content, and no unreleased DLC. The game appears to have launched as a self-contained, finished product, with one modest post-launch addition rounding out the content.
