Evaluation
Newfound Courage launched in March 2019 and has gone through a clear, well-documented content lifecycle. The game received its first major post-launch DLC, Winter's Fair, in December 2019. In July 2022, the developer released a comprehensive remake of the entire game alongside a new story chapter, Return to Otherwhere, which is now bundled into the base game. A free rogue-lite mode, Silverpine Arena, was added in beta on July 15, 2022 shortly after the remake launch. The last meaningful developer communication was a Mac bug fix on January 12, 2023.
The store description explicitly states that Return to Otherwhere is included free with the game, and all listed DLC (a soundtrack and an art pack) have been released. No unreleased DLC entries exist on the store. The developer has not announced any future content, roadmap, or upcoming updates since the July 2022 remake launch and its accompanying rogue-lite mode. The January 2023 patch was purely a platform-specific bug fix, not a signal of ongoing content work.
With two major content milestones completed (Winter's Fair and the full remake with Return to Otherwhere), all DLC shipped, no outstanding developer commitments, and no communications suggesting further content since early 2023, the game appears to have concluded its content development cycle. The Silverpine Arena feature post on July 15, 2022 represents the last substantive addition to the game's content.
