Nexus Station launched into Early Access on January 30, 2025 as a free-to-play cross-platform social sandbox MMO, and the developer has been actively building it out ever since. The store description is explicit that the game is still in early development and not yet feature-complete, with more features and content being added as development continues. Since launch, Social First Oy has maintained a consistent and high-frequency update cadence. Seven major content drops have shipped, including seasonal updates (St. Patrick's in March 2025, Easter in April 2025, Summer in June 2025, Samurai Season 4 in July 2025, Halloween in October 2025, and a 1st Year Anniversary/Holiday update in December 2025), along with the launch of core systems like the Marketplace, Clans, and Leaderboards. Season 5 (Darkwood) was announced in October 2025 with new game modes. Updates have continued into 2026, with a feature patch in January 2026 and a bug fix in February 2026. The game is structured as a live service: it features a season pass with exclusive limited-time items, a rotating shop, seasonal events, and ongoing game mode additions. By design, this is a game that is never "done" — new seasons, items, and modes are continuously planned and delivered.
