Nightmare: The Lunatic

Nightmare: The Lunatic launched into full release on March 31, 2024 after a two-year Early Access period. Following launch, the developer shipped a steady stream of updates: a major content update (v1.1.0) in July 2024 adding new difficulty levels and statues, and a large story-expanding update (v1.2.0) in January 2025 adding a hidden stage, four new weapons, and dozens of new totems and set items. On May 2, 2025, the developer posted a direct update about the game's future, explaining that they are now focused on developing a new title — Swamp Keeper, which launched in October 2025. As a result, content updates for Nightmare: The Lunatic have been scaled back. At that time, they outlined two previously announced features: Boss Rush Mode, targeted for sometime in 2025 or the first half of 2026, and Lunatic Mode, which remains undecided. Neither feature has been released or mentioned since that May 2025 post. The Boss Rush Mode deadline (first half of 2026) has now passed as of June 22, 2026, with no announcement of its release or any further communication about Nightmare: The Lunatic. Given that the developer's attention has been on Swamp Keeper and there has been no update in over a year, it is uncertain whether the promised Boss Rush Mode will still be delivered.
