Noobs Are Coming

Noobs Are Coming launched into Early Access in July 2025 and reached its 1.0 release on November 27, 2025. The solo developer maintained an extraordinarily active update pace — 40+ updates during Early Access, including 15 major content releases — and continued that momentum after launch, shipping a major content update (version 1.2) on December 5, 2025 and a balancing and feature update (version 1.3.2) on January 7, 2026. Before the 1.0 launch, the developer explicitly stated (November 21, 2025): "The 1.0 Release doesn't mean the end of development for Noobs Are Coming. Several post-1.0 updates will already be released during December and January, and throughout 2026 the game will continue to receive updates. A lot of new and exciting content is already in the works." This commitment was immediately backed up by two post-launch updates within six weeks of release. However, the developer's last communication of any kind was on January 7, 2026. As of October 1, 2026 — nearly nine months later — there have been no further news posts, patches, or announcements. This extended silence is difficult to square with the developer's stated intent to support the game throughout 2026. The earlier update pattern showed major releases arriving within days or weeks of each other; even accounting for a slower post-launch pace, nine months without any communication is a meaningful departure from what was promised and historically demonstrated. The developer has not announced the end of development, so there is no clear signal that the game is complete. But the lengthy silence against an explicit commitment to ongoing 2026 updates creates genuine uncertainty about whether those plans are still being pursued.
