Optimum Link launched in February 2019 and received one major update — Silver Sparrow — on December 7, 2019. The developer explicitly called this update the game's official "completion" and its 1.0 release, stating that after four years of development the team had decided to "wrap this game up" and move on to larger projects. On July 27, 2026, the developer posted a maintenance update focused solely on packaging and long-term archival preservation (updating credits, adding compatibility scripts, bundling older game versions). This post explicitly confirms the game's status: "Right now, we aren't working on this game" and "we'll still be here, just mostly in maintenance mode." The developer also acknowledges that source code issues from 2019 make resuming development a challenge, and describes any future work as a vague "sentiment" rather than a concrete plan. The studio notes it is focused on new games (Skyfear and Motocon). This July 2026 post reinforces and updates the earlier completion declaration — the game is finished, being preserved for long-term playability, and no new content is planned.
