Osiris: New Dawn spent over six years in Early Access before officially graduating to its 1.0 release on January 18, 2023. After launch, the studio continued shipping content updates — including the Enhanced Expedition Update on May 3, 2024 (which added a revamped boss fight, expanded map system, and multiplayer improvements) and an experimental build on June 25, 2024 introducing a new planet called Gemini. However, on April 23, 2025, Fenix Fire published a farewell post titled "A Final Transmission from Proteus II," explicitly announcing that development on Osiris: New Dawn was officially ending. The team stated that members had moved on to new chapters, confirming the studio had wound down work on the game. The game is no longer available for purchase on Steam — no purchase options exist. Development ended on April 23, 2025, which is also the date the game's content can be considered final.
