Outpath

Outpath launched on October 16, 2023 and has received consistent updates from its solo developer since then. Early post-launch patches addressed bugs, added a new game mode, improved the save system, and refined gameplay. The developer paused briefly in early 2024 due to personal circumstances and returned to regular work by March 9, 2024. Development has continued actively into 2026. On May 30, 2026, the developer announced a standalone Outpath VR title (a separate game on Steam) and confirmed ongoing controller and Steam Deck work. A controller support update released around that time caused issues, prompting a temporary revert to the stable build on May 31, 2026 while that work continued in a beta branch. Today, October 4, 2026, the developer shipped v1.1.0 — a major update adding online co-op for up to four players, fully rebuilt controller support with Xbox/PlayStation/Switch button icons, Steam Deck improvements, and a substantially improved save and backup system. This is the most significant update the game has received since launch. The developer remains active on Discord and has not indicated that content development is winding down. No final update announcement has been made.
