Evaluation

Overcooked! All You Can Eat launched on March 23, 2021 as a definitive collection bundling both Overcooked! games and all their DLC content, with exclusive new levels and chefs. After launch, Team17 delivered a steady stream of free content updates: the Birthday Party update (August 9, 2021) added five new kitchens, a new chef, and a new recipe; the World Food Festival update (October 12, 2022) added 10 new levels across three new biomes, new chefs, and new recipes; and the Winter Chef Update (February 16, 2023) added a new Penguin Chef and two alternate skins. Since the Winter Chef Update in February 2023, no further major content has shipped. Developer communications since then have been limited to a network investigative patch on September 27, 2024 and a security vulnerability patch on October 3, 2025 — both maintenance-only updates with no mention of new content. The gap between the last major content release (February 16, 2023) and today (June 25, 2026) is over three years, far exceeding the roughly 6–8 month cadence established by the previous updates. No roadmap, announced DLC, or developer statement promises future content. The game appears to have concluded its post-launch content cycle with the Winter Chef Update.
