On January 20, 2026, the publisher tinyBuild announced that Pandemic Express - Zombie Escape would be delisted from Steam on April 21, 2026, with all servers permanently shut down and matchmaking disabled. The game is no longer purchasable on Steam, which confirms the delisting has taken effect. The game launched into Early Access in May 2019, reached its 1.0 release on September 27, 2019, and converted to free-to-play on January 16, 2020. All developer activity ceased well before the shutdown announcement. The game is no longer playable.

Welcome to Pandemic Express - Zombie Escape! We've played a lot of Zombie Escape-style mods, and wanted to make something standalone, and on a large scale. Up to 20 players spawn in a large world. One of them gets randomly infected, and has to spread the infection turning everyone into zombies. The human players desperately try to escape on a train through an onslaught of what seems like endless zombie hordes.
