Paper Beast

Paper Beast launched on Steam on July 24, 2020, as the PC version of a game that had previously released on PlayStation VR. The PC release was the definitive version of the game, featuring expanded content, upgraded visuals, and an enriched sandbox mode compared to the original PS VR release. Post-launch activity was limited to maintenance: a patch in October 2020 addressed gameplay and technical issues, and a September 2021 update added Oculus Quest Air Link compatibility. The only other notable developer communication was a security patch on October 10, 2025, fixing a Unity engine vulnerability — a pure maintenance update with no content implications. The game shipped with only one DLC item, a soundtrack release on launch day, which is already released. There are no unreleased DLC entries, no announced future content, no roadmap, and no post-launch pattern of major content releases. The developer has never communicated plans for expansions or additional updates beyond technical maintenance. Paper Beast launched as a complete, self-contained experience, and all available evidence points to it having shipped as a finished product with no ongoing content development.
