Evaluation
Papo & Yo is a narrative puzzle-adventure game that originally launched on PlayStation 3 in 2012 and came to PC via Steam on April 18, 2013. The game shipped as a complete, self-contained story with no post-launch content planned beyond platform availability. The only DLC ever released is the game's soundtrack, which is available on the store.
The developer's last substantive activity related to this game was on January 14, 2016, when Minority Media announced the Mac and Linux ports for Steam — the final piece of platform availability. In that same post, the studio noted they had moved on to a new title, Time Machine VR. There have been no developer communications of any kind since January 14, 2016, and no new content or updates have been announced or shipped. All DLC is released, and the studio has made no indication of any further plans for this game.
Papo & Yo launched as a finished, linear narrative experience, and the developer has treated it as such throughout its entire Steam lifecycle. The game is complete.

About this game
Quico’s best friend, Monster, is a huge beast with razor-sharp teeth, but that doesn’t scare Quico away from playing with him. That said, Monster does have a very dangerous problem: an addiction to poisonous frogs. The minute he sees one hop by, he’ll scarf it down and fly into a violent, frog-induced rage where no one, including Quico, is safe. And yet, Quico loves his Monster and wants to save him.
As Quico, players will build their friendship with Monster by solving puzzles together and adventuring through a magical, surrealist world. Players will need to learn to use Monster’s emotions, both good and bad, to their advantage if they want to complete their search for a cure and save their pal.
