Passed Out entered Steam Early Access on March 13, 2023. The developer was active in the weeks following launch, posting multiple patches addressing balance, weapons, and quality-of-life improvements. The most significant content addition was the Duo Mode, which launched on April 15, 2023. A new matchmaking/lobby system was announced on August 31, 2023, and a leaderboard fix was posted on September 5, 2023. The most recent developer communication was on March 22, 2024, when leaderboards were reset and the score system was updated. Since March 22, 2024, there has been no developer communication of any kind — no patch notes, no announcements, and no roadmap. The game is still in Early Access with no stated path to a 1.0 release. The developer has not announced any upcoming content, and the silence has now extended well past a year. There is no indication of whether development is continuing or has been abandoned.
