Evaluation
Passed Out: Prologue is a free-to-play battle royale game that launched on October 9, 2022. The store page explicitly describes it as a demo version in which players cannot access stats or skins, implying that a fuller version of the game was always the goal.
The developer was active in the months following launch, posting multiple patch notes between October and November 2022 and publishing two announcements in December 2022 and February 2023 describing upcoming features: a new larger map, a minimap, proximity chat, a dynamic lighting system, and cosmetic/stat systems. A Kickstarter campaign was launched in February 2023 to fund further development. A new matchmaking lobby system shipped in August 2023, followed by one more bug fix post on September 5, 2023.
Since September 5, 2023, the developer has posted nothing. This represents nearly three years of complete silence as of June 2026. The promised features from the late-2022 and early-2023 announcements — including the new map, stats, and skins — do not appear to have been delivered, and the store page still reflects the original "demo version" framing. There is no confirmation that development has ended, but there is also no sign that any of the announced content was ever shipped or that the studio is still active on this project.
