Peasant Royale

Peasant Royale launched on December 29, 2023 as a free-to-play medieval battle royale. Throughout early 2024, the developer (Milord) maintained an active update cadence, shipping multiple feature patches adding new maps, game modes, weapons, animations, AI bots, and combat improvements — with updates arriving roughly every few weeks between January and April 2024. The last patch shipped on April 12, 2024. Then, on February 23, 2026, the developer posted an announcement revealing they are working on a sequel called Peasant or Rebel? — described as an asymmetric multiplayer experience that "builds upon and improves everything from the original game," with a demo already available. This announcement strongly suggests that active development has moved away from Peasant Royale and toward the new title. No updates to Peasant Royale have been posted since April 12, 2024, and no future content for the game has been announced. The developer has not explicitly stated that Peasant Royale is finished or abandoned, but the combination of nearly 14 months of silence on updates before the sequel announcement — and the sequel announcement itself framing the new game as a replacement — makes the future of Peasant Royale's development uncertain.
