Evaluation

Persona 5 Royal launched on PC on October 20, 2022, and was explicitly positioned as the definitive edition of Persona 5 — the store description describes it as "the definitive version of Persona 5 Royal" and states it includes "over 40 items of previously released downloadable content." This is a complete, bundled package of all prior content released for the game. Since its PC launch, ATLUS has issued two maintenance patches (Ver. 1.03 in January 2023 and Ver. 1.04 in September 2024) to address bugs and achievement issues. No new story content, DLC, or expansions have been released or announced for this title. All DLC listed is already included in the base package. The ATLUS news feed is focused on other titles in the Persona/ATLUS catalog — Metaphor: ReFantazio (October 2024), Persona 3 Reload (April 2025), Persona 5: The Phantom X (June 2025), and Persona 4 Revival (announced for February 2027). None of these posts reference future content for Persona 5 Royal. The game is a complete, finished product as shipped.
