Phantom Project

Phantom Project launched on October 12, 2021 as a self-described prototype psychological horror game. In the weeks following launch, Astravelari shipped several updates — a new ending (Ending B), gameplay mechanics, AI improvements, and localization patches — indicating active development through mid-2022. However, on December 12, 2022, the developer published a clear and direct statement about the game's future: Phantom Project will no longer receive updates. The studio explained that the full game was too resource-intensive to complete given their financial constraints (two failed crowdfunding campaigns), and that they had already begun pre-production on a new, more feasible title. They explicitly redirected their roadmap away from Phantom Project. This is an unambiguous, developer-authored declaration that updates to Phantom Project have ended. No subsequent posts have walked back or contradicted this statement. The game remains purchasable in its prototype state, and the store description still notes it is "subject to major changes and improvements" — but that language predates the December 2022 announcement and has not been updated to reflect the studio's current position. The game's content is effectively final as of December 12, 2022, the date the developer confirmed no further updates would be made.
