Phobies is a free-to-play collectible strategy game that launched on March 7, 2022 and has been in continuous, active expansion ever since. The game is built around an ongoing live content model: seasonal events, weekly rotating maps, leaderboard seasons, limited-time events, VIP passes, and regular waves of new characters (Phobies).
Since launch, the developer has shipped at least seven named major updates, each delivering batches of new Phobies, new maps, new abilities, and new game systems. The cadence has been remarkably consistent — major releases in June 2022, October 2022, October 2023, September 2025, November 2025, March 2026, and most recently June 30, 2026 (Release 1.16: Fuller Disclosure), which added 10 new Phobies, 5 new maps, a new in-game currency, a new card pack type, and a limited-time event. That most recent update concluded: "Thank you for your continued support. The battlefields are open and ready for you."
In March 2025, the studio's leadership explicitly stated they were actively planning new Phobies and content for the year ahead and invited the community into the creative process. The 4th Anniversary Update in March 2026 ended with "Four years strong and still evolving." A feature patch (Update 1.15.2) shipped on May 13, 2026, adding matchmaking refinements and new maps ahead of future rotations.
The store description references weekly and seasonal rewards, Mount Ego leaderboards, a growing roster of over 180 collectible characters, and seasonal/limited-time events — all structural features of a game designed to receive content indefinitely. There is no indication from the developer that content development is winding down.
