Picross Touch launched on August 24, 2016 as a free-to-play puzzle game. The developer, Jon Gallant, actively updated the game through 2017 and into 2018, shipping a series of feature updates that added leaderboards, a theme editor, workshop improvements, larger puzzle sizes, and various quality-of-life enhancements. The last recorded update was a bug fix on July 8, 2018. Since that date — nearly eight years ago — there have been no further news posts, patch notes, announcements, or developer communications of any kind. All five DLC items (which are optional donation tiers, not content expansions) were released on August 7, 2017 and none are marked as unreleased. The store description advertises the game as a finished product with "thousands of levels" and explicitly states "No Ads, No in app purchases, No nonsense." There is no roadmap, no announced future content, and no sustained pattern of major content releases across the game's history (zero major content drops were identified in 49 scanned posts). The game launched as a complete puzzle experience and has received no developer communication since July 2018, indicating it has long since reached its final state.
