Pine

Pine launched on October 10, 2019 and received active post-launch support through early 2021. In the months following launch, Twirlbound shipped a series of patches addressing bugs and adding improvements — most notably Patch 8 (June 24, 2020), which brought a significant engine upgrade, combat overhaul, and new language support, and Patch 12 (September 24, 2020), which added Japanese and Simplified Chinese. The Pine Original Soundtrack was released as a standalone DLC on December 19, 2019, and a vinyl edition of that soundtrack launched for pre-order on February 5, 2021 — the last official communication from the developer regarding Pine. After February 5, 2021, all developer activity shifted away from Pine. The studio's next public-facing milestone was the launch of their follow-up game, The Knightling, on August 28, 2025 — described by Twirlbound as a project they had been working on for several years as a successor to Pine. There are no unreleased DLC listings, no announced future updates, and no developer statements indicating further content for Pine is planned. The only DLC ever listed (the soundtrack) has been released. The game shipped as a complete single-player experience and Twirlbound has moved on to their next project.
