Pixel Gun 3D: PC Edition is a free-to-play multiplayer shooter that launched on Steam on April 2, 2024. The game is built around a live seasonal content model with new seasons shipping on a near-monthly cadence. Since early 2026, the developer has shipped: The Great Divide Season (March 31, 2026), Rising Storm Season (April 29, 2026), Pirates Journey Season (May 27, 2026), Primal Extraction Season (June 30, 2026), and Sunset Retrowave Season (July 30, 2026) — the most recent communication as of today's date of August 18, 2026. On May 2, 2026, the developer published a 13th anniversary post explicitly stating: "We're just getting started. There's a lot ahead. Pixel Gun 2, new content, and plenty of things we can't wait to show you." This is a direct developer statement confirming ongoing content plans. The studio is also actively building out a sequel (Pixel Gun 2), whose Steam demo launched June 15, 2026. The store description references "monthly tourneys and events" and a Pixel Pass system — both hallmarks of a game designed to receive continuous seasonal content indefinitely.
