Apex Legends is a free-to-play live service hero shooter built around a continuous seasonal content model. The store description references purchasable virtual currency (Apex Coins), Apex Packs with randomized virtual items, and coin expiration mechanics — all hallmarks of a live service monetization model. There is no indication development will conclude; all developer communications consistently frame Apex Legends as an evolving, ongoing platform.
