Retail Royale launched into Early Access on April 29, 2022 and reached its 1.0 release on May 6, 2023. During the Early Access period and through the first few months after the 1.0 launch, the developer (a solo indie dev) was actively posting updates — shipping balance patches, adding content, restoring regional servers, and responding to feedback. The most recent developer communication of any kind is a minor balance patch posted on August 31, 2023. Since then, the developer has gone completely silent. There have been no announcements, patch notes, or blog posts from August 31, 2023 through today, June 23, 2026 — a gap of nearly three years. This is a significant departure from the update activity that existed during and shortly after launch. No announcement has been made about the game being complete, no final update was declared, and no roadmap was fulfilled or formally closed out. The developer has simply stopped communicating publicly. Given this prolonged silence with no explanation, it is unclear whether the game is still being maintained or whether development has quietly ended. Anyone considering the game should be aware that it appears to have received no updates or developer attention for close to three years.
