PixelJunk™ Shooter Ultimate launched on October 21, 2015 as a definitive compilation of PixelJunk Shooter and Shooter 2, combining both games into a single seamless 150-level campaign with overhauled visuals, UI, and added features like Photo Mode and Online Battle mode. The launch announcement positioned this as the "best ever edition" of the game — a complete, finished package rather than a foundation for ongoing content. A hotfix was pushed on January 8, 2016 to remove accidentally included debug code, and the accompanying post (January 11, 2016) noted that the studio planned to "continue support" going forward. However, this was the last recorded developer communication, and no further updates, DLC, expansions, or roadmaps were ever published. There are no unreleased DLC entries in the store listing. The developer has been silent since January 11, 2016, more than a decade ago, with no outstanding content commitments ever made. The game shipped as a complete, self-contained product. The single post-launch communication was a maintenance patch with a vague expression of continued support that was never followed up on. There is no evidence of any planned or in-progress content beyond the base game.
