Planetoid Pioneers

Planetoid Pioneers launched out of Early Access on February 8, 2018, and received a consistent stream of feature patches and updates throughout 2018. The last major content update was posted on December 20, 2019, which added Workshop publishing integration with the companion game Planetoid Pioneers Online, new scenes, Chinese localization, and a variety of gameplay improvements. That post also noted the team's activity had slowed because the lead developer had a baby — providing context for the pace of updates. Since December 20, 2019, there have been no further developer communications of any kind. The established post-launch update pattern was fairly active from 2018 into late 2019, but the December 2019 post appears to have been the final one. The only DLC listed — the Contributor Edition upgrade — was released before the game's full launch and is essentially a supporter tier rather than new gameplay content; no unreleased DLC exists on the store. The store description notes that editors "are now all included" in the standard edition, suggesting the developer wrapped up the feature set. The companion title, Planetoid Pioneers Online, launched in July 2019 as a separate product focused on internet multiplayer, and the December 2019 update was largely about bridging content between the two games via Workshop. This suggests the developer's attention shifted to the online title, with the original game receiving no further updates after that bridge was built. With no developer communication since December 20, 2019 — over six years as of today — and no announced or unreleased content remaining, the game is best understood as a finished product. The last content update in December 2019 is the most reasonable date to consider the game's content complete.
