Evaluation
Portal of Evil: Stolen Runes Collector's Edition is a hidden object/adventure game that launched on May 26, 2015 as a complete, self-contained experience. The store description presents a fully-featured package with 60 locations, 45 mini-games, 26 hidden object scenes, 42 cinematics, and over 200 interactive objects — all of which are framed as finished content, not a roadmap for future additions. The only post-launch content directly related to this game was a bug fix in July 2015 addressing achievement issues. A soundtrack DLC was released on March 13, 2019, which is the most recent content tied to this title. Developer news posts since then have focused entirely on other games — including a 2018 update for Business Tour and a 2025 announcement for a new title called Frenzy Islands — with no communication referencing plans for additional content in Portal of Evil. The developer has not announced any expansions, sequels, or updates for this game since 2019, and the overall pattern is consistent with a game that shipped as a finished product.
