Evaluation
Project Chemistry launched into Early Access on June 22, 2020, and officially graduated to its full 1.0 release on June 22, 2021 with "The Anniversary Update" — a substantial content drop that added 92 new molecules, 517 new reactions, 42 new quests, and made the quest mode fully completable. This update was framed as the completion of the game's development roadmap.
After the 1.0 release, the developer continued minor maintenance: localization additions (Italian in November 2021, French in December 2021) and a small bug fix as recently as April 23, 2024. However, none of these post-launch patches introduced new gameplay content, and there have been no announcements of future expansions, DLC, or further content updates. The store description describes a finished product with clearly defined features (118 elements, 200+ molecules, sandbox and quest modes). There is no unreleased DLC listed on the store, no season pass, and no roadmap pointing to future content.
The developer's last communication was a routine bug fix on April 23, 2024. There are no outstanding commitments and no pattern of post-launch major content releases beyond the 1.0 graduation itself. The game shipped as a complete product on June 22, 2021.
