Evaluation
Project F launched into Early Access on August 3, 2023, as a 5-on-5 tactical FPS with procedurally generated maps. In the weeks following launch, the developer was very active, pushing multiple bug fix and feature patches throughout August 2023, including FPS improvements, custom match lobbies, and a reconnection system. Season 1 ended in mid-August 2023, with the developer announcing that Season 2 would follow approximately three months later.
However, on November 2, 2023, the developer posted an apology explaining that Season 2 — originally expected in November 2023 — was being postponed. The post cited quality concerns and ongoing work to optimize the game and update its character models based on player feedback, with a revised promise to deliver Season 2 "within 2024."
That was the last post from the developer. No Season 2 shipped. No further updates, patch notes, or communications have appeared since November 2, 2023. The 2024 deadline passed without any announcement, and as of June 2026, the game remains in Early Access with no confirmed path forward. The developer's complete silence for over two and a half years, combined with an unfulfilled public commitment, raises serious questions about whether active development is continuing.
Evidence
Developer apologized for postponing Season 2, originally planned for November 2023, and promised delivery within 2024. This is the last communication from the developer to date.
Season 1 ended; Season 2 announced for approximately 3 months later, with the Season 1 battle pass and certain match modes closing during the offseason.
