Project Motor Racing launched on November 25, 2025 and has been under consistent, active development ever since. Straight4 Studios has shipped a steady stream of substantial updates across the nine months since launch. The Year 1 Season Pass, sold at launch, bundled three paid DLC packs. All three have now shipped: the GTE Decade Pack and Group 5 Revival Pack at launch (November 25, 2025), and the GT Icons Pack — the final Season Pass item — on June 23, 2026. With all Season Pass content now delivered, there are no longer any unreleased committed DLC items on the store. However, the developer has made clear that content development is ongoing. In the Update 2.0 announcement on March 27, 2026, the studio explicitly stated the update "is not anywhere near the final destination" and described continued development alongside the community as their ongoing focus. Update 2.1 on July 29, 2026 — less than three weeks ago — delivered a comprehensive GT3 and GT4 handling overhaul, the free Aussie Rivals Pack (adding the Holden Commodore VF), join-in-progress online functionality, and early-alpha triple-screen support. A bug-fix patch followed on August 4, 2026, and the Factory Driver Challenge mode shifted to a weekly format as of August 13, 2026. The "Year 1" branding of the Season Pass implies the developer views this as a multi-year content program, and no statement concluding development has been made. The pattern of major updates — with Update 2.0 in late March 2026 and Update 2.1 in late July 2026, roughly four months apart — establishes a sustained cadence of substantial post-launch development. The most recent major update shipped just 19 days before today's date, firmly within that pattern. No specific future DLC has been announced at this time, but the developer's own statements and release history make clear the game is still being actively built out.
