Project Zero Deaths entered Steam Early Access on June 12, 2019 as a free-to-play online multiplayer platform shooter. During its active period, the developer shipped updates at a rapid pace — nine major content releases and eight feature patches between June 2019 and October 2019, adding new heroes, game modes, maps, a campaign, and extensive balance changes roughly every 2–6 weeks.
The last developer communication of any kind was on October 21, 2019, with the v2.5.0 update that added two new characters and a campaign mode. Since that date, the developer has posted nothing — no patches, no announcements, no status updates. The game remains in Early Access on Steam with its store page still referencing "more coming soon" for characters, but no further development has been publicly communicated.
The store description still promises ongoing content (noting "7 different characters... more coming soon"), but these statements appear to be from the original 2019 launch period and have not been updated. With no developer activity since October 21, 2019, and no statement about whether development has concluded or is continuing, the game's future is unknown. It has been in an unresolved Early Access state for over six years with no public explanation from the developer.
