Putty Pals launched on Steam on February 15, 2017 and received a series of free content updates in its first year and a half. The developer shipped three notable content expansions post-launch: the 1.2 "Bonus Level Bonanza" update (May 29, 2017) adding 16 new bonus mini-levels, the 1.3 update (October 18, 2017) adding a full new world — the Puttazon Jungle — with 10 new levels, 9 bonus mini-levels, 2 new characters, and a new soundtrack, alongside a simultaneous Nintendo Switch release. A final 1.4 patch arrived on July 27, 2018 with colorblind mode, visual polish, and performance improvements.
Since the July 27, 2018 patch, Harmonious Games has posted no further updates, announcements, or developer communications of any kind — nearly eight years of silence as of today. The developer's last post before going quiet was a maintenance patch, not a content release, and no future content was teased or announced at that time. The update cadence that existed in 2017-2018 has long since ended with no indication of revival. The game shipped as a complete, self-contained co-op experience, and the content that was promised and delivered across those updates represents the full scope of what the developer communicated as their plan.

Is there a solo mode?
Putty Pals was built to be co-op, which means you need two characters on-screen to solve its puzzles. However, for an extra challenge you can sit at your keyboard alone and control both characters at once. It’s tricky, but it can be done!
Can I play online?
We wanted Putty Pals to be a pure, old-school couch co-op game, so we designed it for two players to enjoy sitting side-by-side. We don’t feel that online play creates the same sense of shared playfulness, so Putty Pals is local co-op only.
