Evaluation

Quest for Infamy launched on July 10, 2014 as a complete, self-contained adventure/RPG. The developer, Infamous Quests, then invested several years into polishing the game, shipping a significant update (v1.1) on February 6, 2015 with extensive bug fixes and improvements, and then eventually delivering the long-in-development v2.0 — a major overhaul updating the game to a 16:9 viewport, native Mac support, and a large batch of additional fixes. The v2.0 beta became available on May 15, 2020. The April 23, 2020 developer post from Steven Alexander — while announcing v2.0 — reads as a heartfelt note of closure. He acknowledged that a kidney transplant failure left him as the sole developer working through serious health difficulties, and he expressed deep gratitude to fans in terms that signal the project had reached its natural conclusion. He mentioned a potential prequel ("Roehm to Ruin") and the possibility of a sequel "someday," but framed these as aspirational hopes rather than active commitments. The prequel was Kickstarted back in 2015 (NEWS-5) but there is no evidence it ever shipped as a standalone title connected to this store page, and no further developer posts have appeared since May 2020. No unreleased DLC is listed on the store. There are no post-2020 developer communications of any kind across the 18 posts scanned. The game's store description is purely descriptive of the base game's content with no mention of upcoming additions. Given the developer's farewell-toned closing statement, the completion of v2.0 as the final substantial update, and more than six years of silence since that last post, the game is best understood as a finished product whose development has concluded.
Evidence
v2.0 beta released on Steam — the culmination of years of work updating the game to 16:9 resolution, native Mac support, and a comprehensive set of bug fixes. This is the last developer post on record.
