Evaluation

Soda Dungeon launched on February 6, 2017 and received a handful of post-launch patches and a Halloween content update through October 2017. From that point forward, the developer's focus shifted entirely to Soda Dungeon 2, which launched in July 2020 as a separate game on Steam. The most recent official communication for this game came on June 16, 2026, when developer Shawn posted a teaser image hinting at something new in the "Soda Dungeon universe" — but explicitly declined to confirm whether it was new content for this game, a new game entirely, or something else. He stated: "New content? New game? It's complicated!" He also revealed he has been working on a separate, unrelated hand-animated RPG (Signy & Mino Against All Gods) for the past three years, and the post was primarily promoting that game's Steam Next Fest demo. The June 2026 teaser is too vague to treat as a concrete content announcement for Soda Dungeon 1. The developer did not confirm new content is coming to this game, did not name any DLC or update, and acknowledged the situation is ambiguous. There are no unreleased DLC listings on the store, and no roadmap or release date for anything tied to this title. The last substantive content this game received was the Halloween 2017 update (October 9, 2017), after which development resources moved to the sequel. Given the lack of any announced content, no unreleased DLC, and no sustained post-2017 update cadence, Soda Dungeon 1 is best understood as a complete product. The Halloween 2017 update represents the last meaningful content addition.
Evidence
Halloween-themed update (v1.2.41) adds new art, limited-time character accessories, boss costumes, and four new language localizations. This is the last major content update for Soda Dungeon 1.

About this game

Gold, legendary items, and more await you! With huge golems, interdimensional beings, demons, monster lobsters, and much, much more to slay, the only thing that ISN'T standing in your way is a paywall - Soda Dungeon is completely free to play, with no frustrating timers, lives system, or anything that might get in the way of a thirsty traveler's dungeon delving.

For a little taste of their favorite brew, heroes will brave goblins, demons, lobsters, and more to bring home the treasure for you. Use that sweet dungeon loot to improve your tavern and purchase new sodas to sling to lure different classes to hire.

Manage your team of caffeine-crazed adventurers as they raid the local dungeon for treasure. Attract valuable classes such as the Thief, Knight, Healer, Darkmage, Shifter, and more.

After gearing up your team, you can control the action with classic turn-based RPG combat, or enable “Auto-Combat” where you can step away from the game, let your team go questing, and reap the rewards when you return!

Ascend higher and higher in the dungeon as you advance through new dimensions, face huge dungeon bosses, and unlock the power of the ancient soda relics!
