Since then, the developer (Bitrich.info) has maintained a consistent cadence of major content releases: the Happy Passengers DLC (May 21, 2024), a co-op multiplayer update paired with the Curated Map Pack DLC (March 11, 2025), and most recently the Expect Delays DLC alongside the free Update 3.0 (July 24, 2026). This newest release is the biggest update in Rail Route's history, adding infrastructure wear, service locomotives, incidents, operating hours, and construction timers. The previous evaluation flagged Expect Delays as unshipped announced content — that content has now shipped. All four DLC in the store listing are fully released, with the most recent (Expect Delays) arriving on July 24, 2026. The developer has remained highly active since the DLC launch: a hotfix (3.0.14) was released on July 31, 2026, and a performance-focused beta build was posted to their Discord community on August 3, 2026.
